Search Engine Position Rankings

When we think of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) words such as seo-friendly content, website traffic, search engine position ranking, and organic SEO come to mind, but have you ever thought about how to keep your search engine position ranking for a long time?

If you have a new website you are probably trying to get it to appear in search engines, but if your website has been established for quite some time now, you must know that it’s not simple to get traffic to it. For some years now, SEO has been thought of the practice of optimizing your website so that the traffic comes in. While it may not be that simple, there are good practices that you can keep applying to the optimization of your website.

How to Improve Your Search Engine Position Ranking

1. Mobile - Friendly and Optimized for Speed

As we have mentioned before, more than half of website visits happen on mobile devices. Make sure your website has been optimized for mobile users, and pay attention to the load time, it should be as fast on mobile as it is on desktop. Also, make sure the font size is big enough so visitors can read the content, if not, it’s very likely they won’t continue.

2. Ease of use

Navigation is key for a mobile website. Visitors are already used to seeing buttons and menus in a certain place. Don’t get too creative with this because you can confuse your viewers. The goal is to have a website easy to use where people can use their intuition to navigate easily.

3. Create SEO-Friendly Content

It’s no secret that the more you optimize your content, the higher the chances that it will appear to users. Make sure all the content in your website is aligned with SEO. The best way to do that is to provide more valuable content than competitors. Remember that Google is constantly changing its algorithm to ignore all the content that doesn’t seem helpful. This can apply to the text in your content, such as blogs, news, etc. Make sure you cover the topic completely, it should be well written and engaging to the audience.

4. Publish, Publish, Publish!

We can’t stress enough the importance of consistently publishing content. A good idea might be to organize your posts in a schedule, plan ahead around a theme that relates to your business and publish frequently. As visitors explore your content, they can find more content of their interest and spend more time on your website.

Start by optimizing for speed and mobile users and the rest will follow. Make sure to create meaningful content and publish consistently. It will help your website and it will be easier for you to adapt as SEO changes. Remember this is an ongoing process and you need to be consistent and creative with what you put out there.
